On-demand transportation giant Uber recently suffered a huge legal blow when their contract workers were determined by a California court to be employees. In this networking call, we’ll discuss how the U.S. Department of Labor and the Internal Revenue Service classify the employment relationship and how the decision in O’Connor v. Uber may change that. We will also discuss the implications for those of us charged with properly classifying and managing state employees.

This call will include a presentation but also plenty of time for discussion and Q&A.
