2018 State Employee Recognition Day Events - Ohio

In recognition of National Public Service Recognition Week, the State of Ohio’s Department of Administrative Services is sponsoring a “Post Some Praise” event.  This is one of the numerous events that our Culture Club sponsors throughout the year to promote employee engagement.  Our employees look forward to the events sponsored by the Culture Club-they are always innovative, no cost and the employees like them.

In addition to the Post Some Praise event, the department is also hosting a program recognizing our employees for their years of service and the Director will present them with special service pins.  Ohio's HR Administrator, Marissa Walter, asked employees to submit a fun fact about themselves to make the event more personal and fun. She’s received a great response and we are looking forward to a good ceremony.

POST SOME PRAISE

This is a great opportunity to express words of praise and gratitude to fellow public servants.  We all use post-it notes to convey many different types of messages.  Why not use them to convey a positive message about a fellow state employee during this week of recognition?

Therefore, the Culture Club is sponsoring a “Post Some Praise” event.

Each Division will designate a wall or window space for employees to post messages of encouragement, praise, gratitude, or just some kind words for a colleague.  Post it notes and markers will be made available and messages can be anonymous, just be sure to say something nice about someone.

If you do not know where your “Post Some Praise” wall is, please see your Culture Club or Location Representative.
